Kevin Stone's "Brainbashers" site recently stopped posting Puzzle of the
Day.

Now the whole site is 503-ing ("service is unavailable"). Any ideas
what's going on?

The sudoku is still going which is something, well plenty, and is a
relief for me since I recently learned to do the super hard ones, but
it's disappointing that the 'ABC path' is gone, I liked that;
I haven't yet found where it originated because I can't remember
the name of the person who made it - it was something like
'Jocko' something or something 'Jocko' - anyone know ?

And continued thanks to Kevin

I just retried, and found that the site is now back up, but it has been
significantly scaled back, which is a shame; nevertheless, all credit to
Kevin for keeping it going for almost a quarter of a century!

Most of the puzzles I enjoy are still there, although I'll miss the
"Puzzle of the Day" and, as you say, the ABC path.

Kevin - if you're reading... I take my hat off to you, sir, for all your
hard work over the decades.

All my favourites are listed (I never did the ABC path) so "phew!". But
there only seems to be the current version of each puzzle, no previous
days - that's a shame because I do the puzzles on and off over my waking
day, which typically spans the point (00:00 UTC?) when the server
changes the current puzzle version. Usually I would just go back to
yesterdays if that happens before I go to bed, but now it will mean
missing out...

Hmm, the puzzles I just tried didn't work (time out) but that's
temporary I hope. (Also, the sudoku ones are on the page in two places,
but you can never have too many sudokus, I guess!)

I would also add my thanks to Kevin if he still reads here, for keeping
the site going for so long!

Aha, the previous puzzle days are still there - you just have to click
the main icon for the puzzle type you want. :)

It was 'Otto Janko' from Kevin's link, but the puzzle's not worth
doing compared with the Brainasher's version
